« MOVING CELLIST est un concert chorégraphique, une création collaborative de la violoncelliste/compositrice Tanja Orning et de la chorégraphe/metteuse en scène Gunhild Bjørnsgaard, produite par la Compagnie B. Valiente. Le concert est un amalgame de son, de mouvement, de physicalité de l'instrument, du corps, de l'acoustique et de la spatialité. Nous nous sommes efforcées de repousser les limites physiques de ce qu'une violoncelliste peut faire dans le dialogue entre « le son issu du mouvement » et « le mouvement issu du son.» »
PROPOS
« MOVING CELLIST » s’inspire de notre mémoire du temps et incarne les expressions variées et simultanées du temps dans le mouvement et le son. Comment pouvons-nous utiliser les souvenirs du temps comme matériau dans une chorégraphie et une composition ?
Plusieurs des magnifiques peintures d’Edvard Munch ont orné pendant un demi-siècle les murs du musée abandonné où se sont déroulées nos répétitions. Aujourd’hui, il n’en reste que de faibles traces sur les surfaces en bois. Cet espace a inspiré des dimensions rétrospectives qui ont éclairé la vie de Tanja – elle joue sur ses trois violoncelles : le petit violoncelle de son enfance, son violoncelle professionnel et son violoncelle « électrique ».
« MOVING CELLIST » se développe à l’intersection de la chorégraphie et de la composition, associant ainsi des stratégies de composition à des méthodologies chorégraphiques et dramaturgiques, et élargissant le répertoire de musique et de mouvement qu’une violoncelliste en mouvement peut interpréter.
BIO
Gunhild Bjørnsgaard has studied from: National College of Arts/Dance Ballet College in Oslo-Norway, International Theater School Jacques Lecoq in Paris, Theater Science at University in Oslo, Chemistry at Norwegian University of Science and Technology, shorter studies in music and choir at the Regional Conservatory in Toulouse in France. In 1997 she established Company B Valiente with Marcelino Valiente and has produced around 30 whole evening performances with tours nationally and internationally, as well been curator for National stage for world and folk dance/music, and indigenous people: Riksscenen in Oslo. For the past 15 years, she has also done her own research with a concept that she calls ‘choreography concert’, where she sees an interaction that challenges the boundaries between dance, music, choreography and composition in music. The performers in music and dance go beyond their own limits and into the others’ field, then find a self-esteemed aesthetics. She teaches in choreography, music composition in space, based on the practitioner’s personal expression. She works as well as project manager for over 30 bigger projects, among others done 5 bigger EEA Grants projects with Romania, Lithuania, Slovakia and Poland twice.
